SALT Outreach - Tampa Outpost

SALT Outreach has created a membership for churches/groups that would like to host a Mobile Day Service Center in their city. There are six levels of membership, the first five levels are sharing SALT's resources and equipment (at a discounted rate), with the final level having a fully independent Day Service Center in their city. SALT envisions expanding the Mobile Day Service Center to every major city that needs day services for the unsheltered.

SALT Outreach Outpost Tampa is a ministry hosted by LifeSpring Adventist Church committed to helping our homeless friends in Tampa. We provide opportunities for you to get involved in being the hands and feet of Christ to those in need.

Services we provide:
Hot showers
Hot meals
Clothing
Supply packs

What volunteer opportunities are available?
We have a number of needs. When you register to serve, you will be given the option to select what roles you're willing to serve as. Please select as many as you're willing so we can make sure every needed role is filled. The roles include:

Shower attendant–Cleaning shower rooms, managing timers, providing fresh towels.
Registration Attendent–Signing people in or notifying when showers are ready.
Food Service–Roles include serving inside the trailer, and waiting tables.
Street Crew–Walking local streets to share about services and deliver food to the immobile.
Clothing–Managing the clothing donations

What is the age requirement?
There is no age requirement. Kids are welcome to serve alongside you, but please be sure to keep them with you at all times for their safety.

I want to become more involved beyond service days. How else can I serve?
We are always looking for leaders to join the team who can more deeply support our SALT Outpost director. If you would be willing to serve in this way, please contact Andrea Sequera directly.
